A restaurant, reimagined

Ooh Curry is a contemporary Indian restaurant in Zug, transformed from a former kebab and pizza establishment into a thoughtfully designed dining space.

A place once shaped by fast turnover and functional constraints sought elevation. The existing interior was stripped back. A dominant pizza oven was removed, and the layout was reimagined to create clarity, flow, and a more considered dining experience. The aim was to retain a sense of liveliness while introducing calm, comfort, and intention.

Walnut grounds the walls with depth. Brass fittings catch custom light across gentle curves. Textured finishes and tailored joinery draw guests inward, turning raw energy into a warm, deliberate flow. Subtle references to Indian culture are woven into the material palette without overt symbolism, allowing the food to remain central.

Today, the space balances a lively hum with quiet craft. Every surface invites lingering. A local anchor, now worthy of everyday meals and special nights alike.

“It was our first experience with the team, even with time constraints the project was well managed. We have received amazing review from our guests. The place had a 360 degree change. We had a fantastic time setting up our new restaurant. Wishing success to Team Purple Peepal.”
